I'm thinking about trying this one out. It's not cheap but it was custom made for the S8+.

Oh yes, thanks for that! That's always been my favorite company for iPhone protectors. Totally going to give that one a shot.

I just made a post with this same problem and I found another case that might be to some peoples liking. The same company made this case for the Fire 7 which I bought and fits great.

We went with IQ Shields and Otterbox cases for ours, working great so far:

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but buy a dbrand skin and a wet application screen protector and you're good. The skins are very tough and will protect the phone rather well.

I hate the drag on wet application screen protectors, they are better than they used to be but still not as smooth as glass. I just bought a squaretrade warranty and hope I don't have to use it.

Yeah, saw that one and a few other drop tests. One common theme seems to be the Gorilla Glass on the screen on the front holds up well but the one on the back will break easily if dropped.

I have gone thru the problems of Case/Screen Protector combination and have found that with few exceptions they don't play together (I gave up on this back with my Note 3). I had just added a tempered glass SP to wife's S7E and was adjusting the case fit, snap the SP cracked. she had a minimalist case and she decided to use my Otterbox case and forgo the SP the OB case had a bit more meat to protect the phone then the Minimalist case did.

    Cheers,

This might sound crazy, but I'm obsessing about this screen and keeping it protected. My inability to find a suitable screen protector might force my hand into returning it. (And I cannot stand those wallet-type cases that force one to use two hands.) It's the first smartphone I've had go this long without a screen protector. The sand and gravel are taunting me, just waiting for me to drop my guard and scratch up this beauty. My name is sangs - and I have a problem. Help me Obi Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope.
I use Ghost Armor (Ghost Armor | Shields Screen Protectors Scratchproof Skins) case-friendly variant in combination with the Spigen Liquid Armor (https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Liquid...cUvbUpU5784003). It works fanstasic. The fit is spot on, no edges being pushed up or anything. Nearly 100% coverage on the front. If you get the Ghost Armor regular screen protector it covers 100% of the front of the phone. Back cover will cover nearly 100%.

Generally speaking you should give up on glass because you really are not likely to find any that works. The best I've heard is RhinoShield as it has adhesive all over, or so I heard. I cannot comment on quality or fit as I have never tried. I am going to stick with the GA/Spigen combo.

Thanks. Even if it does work, that's one dog-*** hideous case. No way I could ruin my phone with that look.

Speaking of SUPCASE, I ordered the slightly less bulky, one piece setup for my S8+: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...cUvbUpU5784039

I too have always liked the SUPCASE line.

Had the S7E for almost a year before I bought the S8+ - didn't put a protector on that phone and won't on this one. I dropped it (3) times in a year (nothing really bad) and nary a scratch. I hate them.

I got this 7.00 one on amazon. I ordered before looking at anything at BB. I Like this case because it doesn't add or make the cut out too deep or spaced out.

I dislike spending too much on cases but I couldn't pass up the Nomad one. The 7.00 case will be used when I bike ride and it sits in the bike holder.

I had the Qmadix Liquid Glass applied to my phone. I watched the videos on YouTube, and they have people trying to scratch phones with keys, scissors and box knives and no scratches. They even tried dropping I from knee and ear height to simulate use and dropping of the device. I registered the product, and supposedly if gets damaged that it necessitates screen replacement, they will cover $100 of the glass replacement cost.

It looks pretty good. I like how it has individual cut-outs for the fps, camera and HR sensor. Thanks for sharing.

Used to agree but am finding the new case friendly Armorsuit very smooth and easy to glide.

Using a spigen case with their wet-apl screen protector designed for cases. Had to get it placed exactly right but working great.
(Used "case-designed" screen protector from Best Skins Ever on my G s7e and it worked very well.)

I haven't even found a case I want yet, much less to decide if I want a screen protector. I'm just being super careful and neurotic until then.

Neurotic is good I always prefer function over form in a case, but I think Spigens have both. There are so many out there though...

If it makes you feel better, consumer reports says that an object would have to be as hard as a masonry drill bit to scratch Gorilla Glass 5 on the Galaxy S8/S8+...

First Test Results: Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ - Consumer Reports

I am in the same bind (not planning to return this phone) -- I want to keep this thing for a long time, but my wet-applied screen protector peels up when I use my Spigen clear crystal TPU case -- But, btw, this case doesn't take much away from the look of the phone and pretty decent protection. A little less bulky than the neo hybrid.

After reading the Consumer Reports test, maybe it is safe to go sans screen protector... I haven't dropped a phone for 4 years, and even then it was something very avoidable with a phone I no longer was worried about. I had stopped being careful at all.

    Your welcome.

The individual cut outs is what was the deciding factor. I heard so much how difficult it was to use the sensor I Figured this would help greatly. I get my phone today So I will try it out. I had the case for 2 weeks already.

I just ordered this guy from Amazon. It's not gonna protect from drops really, but will help with dings and scratches. Also looks low profile enough that if somebody ever figures out how to make a decent glass screen protector it should fit.

Not sure I can keep my S8+ :(-screen-shot-2017-04-26-12.11.32-pm.jpg
