Just installed one. So far so good. What freaked me out more than anything was the water but then I remembered that the phone can be under water for 30 minutes and I felt better. I'll put my case back on in the morning. Hoping the edges stay put. Using this one... Is a two pack just in case you mess up

I have the one from Zagg...Not bad. Not obstructive in use ...It does take a little away from the screen but that is negligible...Overall I'm happy with it. Better than possible scratches on the screen. I'm also using a supcase with it.

Using Skinomi one from amazon. They were kind of enough to let me know that they're sending an updated version. Clarity is great. Install was tricky. Used a hair dryer to warm up the sides so they hang down over the curved edges.

I got the Armorsuit from Amazon. Clarity is good and it handles the curves well. Some out there pop right up from the edges. Just as @yogosans14 and the Skinomi, I used a hair dryer for the edges.

I'm using Armorsheild's film screen and its been mostly good so far. The only issues I've had is it took a while to get the edges to stick and there's a small cloud still left on the film but its not super noticible. It was like $6-7 on amazon and they sent me 2 extra films.

I've tried these screen protectors in the past with other phones but I think they are trash I've always thought a screen with a screen protector look 1000 times worse than the naked screen with possibly a few scratches that can be seen only under direct sun light, however in my experience also all screen protectors scratch a lot easier than gorilla glass which make the experience even worse. This is the best smartphone display in the market so I would not put anything on it to distort the image and ruin the experience, that would be like buying the best tv and put a giant transparent plastic bag over it

Id rather have my screen protector scratched then the actual display.

Yes, that's what I always use. Typically I use the IQ Shield and never have issues with application. This time I chose the Spigen NeoFlex for the S8 since I got a Spigen case. Application wasn't as smooth as the IQ Shield is, but I'm sure that's do to user error However it went on okay and after 2 days the bubbles were gone. Case friendly and very happy with it.
Just watch the application videos for your product - that helps me with a few tips more so than the instructions on the box.

I have this one on my S8+. Watch the installation video multiple times. Do the install in as dust free area as possible. I do it at work because they have a nice HVAC system here.

My biggest tip is that you squeegee out the water/bubbles on the main screen (flat part) and then WAIT to do the edges. The edges will NOT stick if you try it right away. Maybe if you use a blowdryer on low but I didn't bust out the blow dryer at work haha. But I waited about 10 minutes and they still wouldn't stick so I wait another 2 minutes and nothing. I got nervous. I just kept gently flattening the edges as they did in the video and they eventually stuck. I think continually flattening them causes them to dry a bit by pushing off any excess moisture. Once they do finally stick, leave it alone for a good 12 to 24 hours. I did 24 hours just to be safe.

I usually do Tempered Glass which is stick and done so I was very intimidated by this but I've done a few of these now and it's not too bad at all!

I would add to @Zendroid1 post to be sure you keep your fingers coated with the solution and don't overdue the solution on the shield itself. Also, watch the bottom end as there's nothing with the S8 to help with alignment (physical home buttom) and you can easily get more on one side or the other (ask me how I know this). I do like the Armorsuit case friendly protectors and their customer service is excellent. If you find that the shield you have is a little too big for the case you want to use, contact them for resolution.

Protip: Since you are using a waterproof phone, you can do wet-install screen protector installation under water. Doing it in the sink is really easy and no bubble issues to worry about. Done this a couple of times with the S7 series. I just start the install under water to get the initial placement right and without dust, and then I finish it outside of the sink.

First off, remember there are case friendly & non-case friendly screen protectors. Know which one you have before trying to put on a case. In regards to application, make sure to wash you hands to get rid of the oils/dirt. Air dry them cause you could get lint if you towel dry. Here's an installation video. hope it helps. It's for the S7 edge but the steps are the same for the S8/S8+ Good luck.

You'll need to be careful when installing cases as they tend to lift the edges. Also certain cases will push the edges up with daily use.y Supershieldz dry install film covered too much of the screen and caused it to interfere with my cases and lift the protector on the sides. My Zagg wet install is slightly smaller on the sides and works pretty good with my iBlaison armor box, but not so much with my Supcase hybrid. Thankfully the iBlaison isn't as bulky as the OtterBox defender and I can just leave that on all the time instead of switching between a work and home case.

The guy at Best Buy did a poor job installing mine and there's dust under it which bothers me. The problem is having to go case less again while another one dries. That's my biggest issue with wet apply protectors the drying time is rediculous.

I'm using Spigen's Neoflex with the liquid crystal case. I got lucky and managed to get a perfect install. No bubbles or lifting edges. I'm satisfied with it. The only downside is that the screen has a slight drag but thats a given, using this type of protector.
