something i've noticed on my phone is a rhythmic clicking when the aux chord is close to the back of my phone, so when the phone is in my pocket playing music or when i need the headphone chord close to the phone - there's a clicking, sounds kind of like a vinyl click, it's rhythmic and only when the chord is touching the phone.. baffled! hopefully this is maybe a proximity sensor issue? i don't think i have any apps that would play on the sensor though. thoughts? anyone have this?

It's more likely an induction issue (this would be 'worse' if you make a call). Try using a better-insulated cable for your headphones. Or if you use a different pair of headphones, does the issue go away? Or if the cable is too long then it'll be susceptible to more interference (acts as an antenna the longer it gets; some people even hear radio stations with cables that are too long and poorly insulated).

this happens with headphones, apple earbuds and the AKG earphones that came with the phone itself.. i mean it's not the worst thing ever, but as a music fanatic and someone who uses their phone to listen to things a lot, this might get on my nerves during the two years i'm contracted with this phone. it's not constant, but do you think i should return it under warranty? is this a known fault?

I don't think it's a known issue, and I definitely don't have that on mine... do you have NFC active? I don't, just activate it when using SPay, maybe that helps?
