A simple return could work, but I'm thinking you could also go through AKG website and request warranty support.
Nope, went that route first and AKG said to bark up Samsung's tree.
Mine was the same way, it'll charge just leave it on. For pairing you need to press the pairing button just once instead of the long press. It drove me crazy as well initially.

In the meantime Samsung sent me a UPS label to ship HEADPHONES to their Texas PHONE repair center. The headphones are less than 24-hours new and they don't want to replace them.
