    On an ATT S8+. Still waiting ..patiently I might add, for this update we were suppose to get last week to fix the red hue on our screens. Where the heck is it? I am on day 14 of my purchase...thanks Samsung for dragging this out so I have few options.

    Did you make sure the blue light filter isn't on?

    yeah..no blue light filter. Mine is a very faint hue...not horrible, but after comparing to a few in BB, I was able to find perfect screens. I did not realize the difference until I saw the perfect screen. Now, out of 20 phones I checked in BB and ATT, 10 were just like mine and 10 were perfect.. soo....not sure what to think of that.

    I'm in the same boat but my 14 days is up. I was in an att store swapping my S8+ for a G6 when I read the first reports about the update fixing the pink tint. I decided at the last minute to keep the S8+. Now I'm just waiting to see if I've made a mistake. The pink on my screen is very, very slight and only on the left edge but it's there.

    If it's not fixed by the update I'll probably try to swap it.

    I'm on Verizon and swapped mine out with one that doesn't have any red tint. Was that not an option for you? It's a defect. They should swap it since it's under warranty. Samsung E-Commerce took mine back without charging a fee. Anyway, I hope you get it fixed. A G6 isn't a bad choice if you don't get another S8.

    My s8 doesnt have red tint. However, it died at 6 days of use. Had 80% charge, shut itself off, then wouldnt turn on again. I tried charging it. No lights came on, nothing. I tried power button and volume down at same time, nothing. Tried power button and vol up, nothing. Called sprint support, they recommended i take it to store for repair. I said no, i want a new phone. So they did overnight one to me. I hope this one is worry free.

    I love the S8+....played with the G6 a bit. Really prefer the S8. I just want to get the RED out. Hoping software update helps, as I don't want to set up my phone again. And...everything else about my current phone is great, speed, battery..etc. I know sometimes that can be a wildcard.

    Sprint update came a few day's ago I didn't have the red tint issue but the flexibility the update offers to adjust the display to your preference is fantastic. Should have given these options without a problem forcing Samsung to do it.

    nope. I am on my second device. First one had even worse RED. They are calculating the 14 days from the original device. So...screwed

    I would argue that it's a defect and that there is no remedy for it currently. They can say the fix is coming but it doesn't help you at all right now. I'd escalate it to the store manager if I had to. You deserve a phone without that tint. They are out there.
