S8: Can Youtube default to using the whole display?

When watching Youtube videos, I've noticed that on the S8/S8+ that the videos default to fit the screen not stretch for the extra screen space however if you single tap on the screen, there's a button to stretch the video. Is there a way to make the videos in youtube stretched by default al all? I can't find a way. I mean it's not a big deal, but can't hurt to ask. Thank you.

I have not seen an option like that, but like you said its no biggie, pressing the button is no stress

There is no crop to fit setting for YouTube currently
