Galaxy S8 scratches to easily?

I've had my new Galaxy for about a week, "protected" by the Clear view cover.
Coming from an LG G4 I was expecting the glass to be tougher than it actually is.
Got one deep scratch (felt by nail) and dozen of small ones already. Seen only when screen is off though.
Any workarounds yet? I mean tips like screen protectors, polish/toothpaste or anything to reduce them?
I really don't care as long as on-screen experience is good, but this feels a bit weak from Samsung.
Do you guys let em pass and use it naked?

My S7 got scratched up in about a week, I forgot I had no protector on it and set it down on the screen under my trailer using it as a light and put a few bad scratches in it.

Put a protector on and can't see them anymore.

Having good luck with armour suit here. Just trim an extra 1/16 off each tall side. Good to go.
