Wi-Fi and 4g calling

I am with ee in the UK. Will be the s8 support Wi-Fi and 4g calling out of the box, or does it have to be purchased from the mobile company

Did you buy it from EE then yes.

If it's an unlocked version with BTU firmware then no.

I bought a direct from Samsung unlocked version with BTU Fw. VoWifi worked out the box on EE.

I had to flash their EVR Fw to get VoLTE though.
Downloaded from the usual sammobile.com, it took 10 minutes . No downside, no bloat.
