So I've decided after 7 or so failed screen protector attempts on my s8 plus (not to mention the 4 or 5 I tried on my note 7) I'm just going to go naked. I have the Samsung insurance with the $100 deductible so I figure I would see how easily the screen scratches and when its unbearable I'll pay the deductible and get a new one. I figure I've already paid more than one deductible on screen covers so far, so why not enjoy the naked screen and see how durable it really is.

My first screen protector on my S8 Plus moved around after 2 weeks. I took it back to AT&T and requested they install a new one. Seems to be working good now. Only been 3 days though. I used the BodyGuardz Arc.

I just ordered the oem Samsung ones. gonna try them 1st and only ones I will order if they don't work I'm not gonna keep spending money on something that is gonna keep having the same results. I knew exactly what the outcome was gonna be when I picked up this phone. smart move though insurance .. that's my end game as well I believe.

I have this one on my S8... It's not glass but it adhered perfectly to my screen and I am not having any issues with it.

I had to go with BodyGuardz Arc Glass because AT&T said Zagg didn't have any protectors at time when I got phoney 2 weeks ago.

Is the arc glass or regular plastic? When I had my s 7 edge the plastic bodyguardz contour was the only one that worked.

Edit: I just saw your other reply. Lol

I have the zagg glass curve. It's working fine right now. My biggest issues are the really bad smudges and the fact that if I drop my phone the zagg may pop off like the first one did.

They put one of curved ones on my phone when I bought it but it didn't seem to adhere to the screen and it made typing really difficult

I ditched screen protectors for a couple of years now. I just make sure I get a grippy back to avoid accidental slips and not place my phone with something that scratches it. I don't like the rubbery touch feeling on the screen, it ruins the experience, especially swipe typing. Since most of my phones have had curved screens a tempered glass protector was not an option. Besides most newer smartphones are meant to be used without one. For example my S7E Exynos doesn't have a single scratch despite using it without a screen protector since the past 8 months. I won't be using it on my S8 either, though I do have a bear motion case to provide grip for handed use.

I realized that I have dropped my phone only once in about 10 years. Not enough risk to ruin the daily experience of phone.

I gave up on screen protectors with my S7 about a year ago. I also ditched protective cases and went with a thin one for scratch protection. So far no scratches on the screen.

I have insurance incase catastrophe strikes.

I went the same route and decided to rely on insurance. What I spent on screen protectors was more than a deductible.

I had really high hopes for the Whitestone dome but once the phone got hot it started to form bubbles. My heat came from being outside but others are having issues with wireless charging causing bubbles.

Its going to get scratched so if it gets to the point that its driving me nuts Ill start using the phone naked and when something bad happens Ill file a claim.

I use a wet install armor suit. It does feel a bit plasticky compared to the glass but it adheres nicely and has good touch recognition.

Ztech for the Note 5 (found on Amazon for $5.99 is the one I have had since I got the phone (Sep '16). It just recently cracked it when I fell off my bike mountain biking and landing on the pocket that had the phone in it, but I glad it cracked and not the phone screen! It's made of tempered glass and 9H rated.
