Has anyone else ever taken a quick picture only to find that when you go to your gallery moments later and it isn't there? It seems to happen pretty regularly on my phone. I have the photos saving to SD card I'm wondering if that could be the problem. It happened on my S7 also and it has me frustrated.

Was it the same SD card on the S7? If so, are you sure it isn't a Chinese knockoff card? Only time I've seen similar issues with files disappearing on SD cards have ALWAYS been the SD card, cheap knockoff bought from eBay and Amazon. If yours is a real 32,64,128GB card and not just the knockoffs that are 4GB or 8GB chips inside simulating the higher capacity ones, then save the content on your card on a computer and then do a Card reset on your phone and then copy back your data to the card.

I was having the same issue with my S7 Active and i was losing between 1/5 and 1/10 photos. I followed a suggestion on the internet to wipe my cache partition and in the few days since, i have not lost a single photo.

I had the same problem on my S7 Edge, usually when I would zoom in on something. I haven't had my S8+ long enough yet to see what happens.

Its still been happening unfortunately. Its very frustrating when you get a shot that you can't really replicate!

Same is happening to me occasionally. Doesn't seem to matter if using lock button shortcut or not for me.
