How much screen on time are you getting?

Hey guys

I got an unlocked S8 from Best buy and I am getting such mixed results with my phone wanted to know what you guys are getting

Right now I've got over 6 hours of screen on time (took the day off from work and just been the phone all day basically)

other times I get right over 4hours and it is time for a recharge

(do the themes affect battery?)

Not sure what I'm about to say will make sense but here goes.

The longer you are off the charge the less screen on time you will get. For example, if you charge to 100 and run a video on loop you will get 10+ hours screen on time. If you use the phone over 18 hours you will get significantly less because other resources are being used over time. Cell signal, background app updates etc. You could go 30 hours off the charge but only get a few hours SOT. Other things besides the screen use the battery and the longer time they have to use it the more they will.

I personally get about 6 to 7 hours SOT over a 12 or so hour span off the charge but I'm usually on wifi. I also have excellent coverage almost everywhere I go on LTE.

Themes can use more battery because anything besides black has to light up the screen.
