Are you dumping your S8 for the S8 Active?

AT&T is releasing it first but this time, the S8 Active will be released for other carriers. Rugged design, 4000mAh battery, and best of all, a FLAT screen. Glad they are releasing it for everyone and won't be an exclusive.

Na. I will upgrade to a new phone. I have an issue with buying the same phone (basically an S8) twice. I just can't do it.

3000mAh battery vs 4000mah battery. Also extremely easier to install screen protectors. Also, no need to buy a case. This is the phone for me, I'm more of an outdoors guy and a glass phone won't cut it for me.

The day the unlocked version releases, or possibly a T-Mobile version, is the day I will have one and my S8 will be sold. Flat screen, 4000mah battery, yes please.

Just carry a portable DAC and you'll be all set

I would rather have one than the regular S8, but I'll be honest. I'm looking at the Note 8 and V30 for my next phone, probably the Note since I'm a bit of a Samsung fam boy, and I love the S Pen.

My LG G3 was acting-up big time, so dumped it for S8 Active just yesterday. So far, very frustrating; able to easily connect to home network but with significant difficulty connecting to internet for anything. I keep getting msg "Internet may not be available". WTH...what does that mean? What more does it take for the phone to know if internet is or is not available? "May not be available"??? That's not very helpful.
Based on my brief experience, I'd recommend staying away from the S8 Active. Seems to cost more $$ for more frustration.

Paying more money so I can get a phone that has a rugged case I can't remove.. replacing a phone that has a rugged case I can remove, all for the sake of a screen protector. No thanks.

Also this most likely won't fit the gear vr.
