Setup Google assistant with sync 3

Hello, I have recently switched from Apple to a galaxy S8+. Everything has been going very well. The only issue is that I cannot access the Google assistant from the voice control in my truck (2017 F-150 w/Sync 3). It worked when I first got phone. I made an update to the phone and now the voice button is not acknowledged. Are there any changes I can make to settings to bring the Google functions back? Thank you for your time.
