i made the switch from iPhone to s8 and have been very happy. Just want to share some thoughts.

This is not the first time i have done this but this time i am staying with my s8. Over the last few years i get the bug around july to with to switch to a droid i can't tell you how many times. But this time it was different i did it for a few reasons the camera was a big one for me. The fact android has come along way with the lag still have some when typing a fast sms message or the phone gets hot and some bluetooth issues other then that this phone is great the feel the look and the ease of use. I will tell you that i still have apple tech laptop and a few other things. I know everyone complains about iMessage but these days whatsapp makes it easier and to be honest i do more and WhatsApp messaging so not a big loss. my email and contacts and calendar all gmail so thats easy. Now some of the fluff apple is a follower now! Yes they have come up with some great stuff i can't take it away from apple. But today is a different story they are first coming it with tech that samsung has been using before them but i will say they polish it better. I always say to people who ask me what they should do when buying apple or droid i say if you want simple go with apple if you want some fun and have patience go with android. My girlfriend just switched over and i told her be patient and i will teach you the ins and outs of using the S8, of course the first 2 days she almost killed me. i told her she hasn't taken the time to learn it yet haha, now she loves it. We both have iphones 7 as well. i told her put it away and force yourself to work with the droid. As of today she is learning and starting to appreciate the S8 quality and the android way. I am not so sure this was a good idea now because she is pushing all the girlfriends to switch and wants me to teach them! Ugh what did i create! Love S8 is a great phone aside from some of the kinks.

    Thank you

That’s awesome. I’m an iPhone user but always great to read a positive switch story. The Galaxy line is very good.

I switched in May and also sold my Apple Watch and bought the S3 Frontier, which is an awesome smart watch and beautifully made. As for the S8, I almost threw it against the wall as it kept freezing and lagging every time. I took it back to Best Buy and they simply said to uninstall a pre-installed app from Sprint (DFNDR I believe it was called), and everything has been smooth after that. Knowing myself however, I'll probably jump to the iPhone X next spring when it is more widely available and perhaps some deals out there from carriers.

I can't understand what lag you guys are on about? I've been on the S8 coming from an iPhone 7 and it's been smooth since I had it 4 months ago and I've been pushing it's limits. Only thing id have to say is that the battery life is not as good as I'd like it to be, having to charge it twice a day.

Hey congratulations for making the switch over to android world. I too was an iPhone 6s owner and could not stand all the issues I have was having including app crashing, battery draining starting near 25 percent and worst of all cell reception. do you know that iPhones have not so good quality receptors? just read the post below. latest iPhones don't even make the top twenty. what good is a phone of it does not perform to get the cell reception range you need?

when I switched to s8 plus everything runs with ease. MS office apps to video games and so much more. no lag even with time.
