Had this pop up earlier today. New fake virus or is it a legit virus?

I don't see anything from you but I can without a doubt tell you it's fake. A virus doesn't just pop up.

I figured as much the site I went too was a link I clicked in my email to a Dodge Charger forum I've been a member of for years. I've had them pop up from different websites but not from clicking a link to a forum response.

Thanks

Should I use an antivirus and if so which is best and doesn't slow the S8 down?

You get these when a sites ad software uses JavaScript to hijack chrome. Yes JavaScript is still **** and everyone still uses it.

I don't think they'll ever stop using Java. Too many claim it cost too much to switch to a newer standard that doesn't work as well as Java. Same for Flash player yet Google insist on telling users what they can and can't use.

Use ad block extensions (5) in Samsung Internet.

If you must use Chrome, well turn off JS or disable the app totally.

Google keeps saying adblicking and junk costs them users ad dollars so they plan to add support.

I was using Adguard.com which is system wide VPN based firewall but it caused trouble in Ireo beta, it's log file used all the free space and had to reformat eventually.

Clear your cache partition as well as Chrome history, cache once you see that fake. It's total nuisance. Today. Malware keeps getting clever and stealth. Virus works best when you don't see it notice it using you. CnC, Bitcoin mining, launching DDoS.
