My wife and I have identical unlocked S8s on T-Mobile. We both use Google's Android Messages app. A particular SMS shows up with formatting characters on my phone but is properly formatted on her phone.

At random times I receive a notification email from our PO Box vendor that a package has been received and we can go pick it up. Since neither of us generally wants Gmail notifications we both have them turned off. We both would like to be notified about this particular email so one of us can pick up the package.

I set up two Gmail filters to forward all incoming messages from the vendor to our phones using T-Mobile's SMS email address: PhoneNumber@tmomail.net .
The SMS on my phone looks like:
<font face=3D"Arial" size=3D2>Dear My Name,

You have received=
1 package in your Mailbox.

You can claim the following packages=
at your convenience:

1. USPS: tracking number is 123456789008508694001102005

Thank=
you,

Lanny LastName

PostNet AZ123
1234 W. Anthem Way
Suite=
A-123
Anthem, AZ 12345
123-123-1234

On my wife's phone the SMS looks like the email:
Dear My Name,

You have received 1 package in your Mailbox.

You can claim the following packages at your convenience:

1. USPS: tracking number is 123456789008508694001102005

Thank you,

Lanny LastName

I was willing to live with my version until I realized that the phones were acting differently. Any ideas on how to fix?
