S8 crashed. Need help.

[Android Central Question]

I was a beta tester on Oreo on my S8. I attempted to download a theme, and it crashed my phone beyond recovery. It cannot be factory reset. It cannot be fixed by samsung because it is out of warranty. Someone mentioned that I can reinstall the original OS by connecting it to my PC and downloading it. How do I go about doing this? Can someone send me a link?

I'd search on xda developers for a walk through. They are very knowledgeable.

You can try connecting your phone to Smart Switch on the computer. If you don't have it, Google the download link.
Not clear in what exactly you mean by crashed. Can you factory reset by using hardware buttons? (press volume up, power and Bixby buttons) Does it turn on at all?
You could also try Odin.
