My wife's S8 keeps calling her emergency contacts accidentally. It's really bad and has happened several times at weird hours of the night.

How can this annoying fractions be disabled?

You can't disable that due to legislation. However you can remove the emergency contacts...

Emergency contacts? In what function? (The only legitimate emergency contacts these days should be in Contacts, listed as ICE [In Case of Emergency]. That's what emergency responders look for.)

I have an off slider under advanced features. I was having the same problem. I set up my smartwatch to do the sos thing.

Presumably the ICE contacts are the ones being called... You can go to a contact, edit.. Groups... Deselect ICE...
