Message+ Enable Notification Sound, but not Status Bar notice
On my S8+, under the main Message+ options, I have Notications enabled: Settings-> Notifications. In Customize, I enabled a sound at Customize->Noifications->New Message Notifications->On->Sound. I'd like to disdable the notice in the Status Bar at the top of my screen, which is done buy turning the switch off at Settings->Notifications->Notifications. While that prevents messages from appearing in my Status Bar, it also disables my sound from playing when a new message pops up. Can I disable the Status Bar notice but keep the sound? Thanks.

So this has actually come up previously in the forums:

Long story short, 99.9% of the time the answer is no.
Android has looped Sound, vibrate, and/or pop notifications on the screen into one sidebar for off/on.
Turns out only some of the apps will allow you to change pop and status bar notifications within the in-app settings.
Unfortunately, since the messages app runs through Android, the settings for changing notifications is linked together. The "on" button that controlls the pop up on screen also controlls the sound.

Thanks! That must be the reason.
