    I'm considering buying an S7.
    My network is AT&T.
There is the model number SM-G930A and unlocked, which I think was originally made as locked for the AT&T network.
And there us the SM-G930U, which I think was made as unlocked for any network.

Is there an advantage to getting one model # over the other?

I moved this from the S8 Themes/Mods forum to the general S8 forum. ("Mods" stands for modifications, not models.)

The unlocked model should work just fine on AT&T. The primary difference usually is less carrier (in this case AT&T) bloatware on the unlocked model. The flip side of that is the carrier model *might* have some AT&T software that is needed for a specific feature.

It depends somewhat on your plan and what you want/need the phone to do.
