Just bought a Samsung S8, which comes with Android 8.0.0.

I would like to know if there is an option to turn off manually and not permanently "Always on Display" (AOD). I like the AOD feature but I don't want it to be constantly on during my sleep time. I know that there is an option to set it off for a specific period of time. But I want to be available during the night because I want to check the time when I wake up in the middle of the night. AOD is particular good for this because it only shows the time with a black background, which is good to prevent eyes strain.

So, in short, I would like to have AOD always on, but turn it off and on easily with a single button of touch action.

There is a "quick setting" button that turns it on or off, but I would think that it would be to cumbersome...
