S8 beeps every time i wake it up

[Android Central Question]

I see plenty of queries about turning on and off screen notifications but I need to turn off a beep that is suddenly happening every time I pick up the phone and wake it up. When I unlock it beeps. When it's already unlocked and I wake it up it beeps. I can't think of any setting I changed but please advise on how to turn the sound off? Tks!

Check your notification reminder and its sound. Try toggling and changing both.

My S8+ just started beeping upon wakeup. I found the issue. I have a Speigel phone case which holds 2 credit cards. I just replaced my debit card and it has the "tap to pay" feature now. Turned off the NFC on my Samsung and the beep issue is fixed.
