I got a Galaxy S9, & the charger is different (?!! Wtf??!) I want to buy a converter from regular Android (Moto, LG, Sony...) to Galaxy so I can use all my chargers, like my car charger & the extra long charger I have. Is there such a thing, & what are the names of the port sizes so I can look it up on Amazon?

They're all USB standards. The old style, as seen on the Moto LG and Sony is called Micro-USB. The new style is called USB-C. I'm not a fan of the adapters from micro-USB to USB-C, I prefer the "natural" cable. You have a couple options - USB-PD is the rapid-charging spec for USB-C. For all other cables - I prefer those from quality brands such as Anker to ensure they're properly built.

S9 uses the same charger as the rest of the new Android phones, it's a standard USB-C. Some Android manufacturers included LG and Moto adopted the port in 2016, Samsung adopted it in 2017.

It's also found on most new laptops, tablets, and other mobile electronics. Even Apple has put it on their newest Macs and the latest iPad Pro.

Simple micro usb to usb c adapter should be what you're looking for to use the old cords you already own. Cheap pack of them linked below for example.

OP, check the accessories in the box for your device. I can't speak for the S9, but my S8+ came with a micro USB to USB-C adapter.

I use these, so I can lock them to the cable and not lose them. (So you can pop them off to connect to a micruUSB connector or put them on the connect to a Type C connector).
