S8+ pull down access for apps not working

Hi I have an S8+ and from the home screen you can swipe up or down to access the apps screens. Now the other day I'm not sure if I've changed a setting or if it was to do with the update.

Now I can swipe up on the home screen that works fine but if I try swipe down it will only pull the notification bar down.

I have been into the display settings and tried changing the " home screen layout " options a few times and restarting phone but still won't work.

Anyone got any other ideas as to if I've changed something or if it's a update issue?

Android version 8.0.0
