Rings but nothing...

I have a s8 that will ring but the answer screen doesn't come up and no history of who may have called. I had a ringtone I use from Zedge and thought I may be an issue with the app so I uninstalled it. Still have the problem. My phone will ring with no one calling several times a day. The phone has been factory reset. Any ideas what's going on?

Does it happen if you turn off NFC?

NFC is off. Never had it on.

I'll give that a try. The odd thing is the ringtone was created via Zedge. I uninstalled Zedge and removed the ringtone from the audio file folder and I'm using a stock ringtone. Would you believe that it's still happening! The zedge created ringtone randomly rings! When I do get an actual call it rings with the stock ringtone! So weird.

I would just avoid the Zedge app altogether, since I do see occasional questions about the Zedge app causing odd behavior. It's actually pretty easy to find a ringtone on the zedge.net website, download it, and then move it to the appropriate directory (/Ringtones, /Alarms, or /Notifications).
