I thought it was too big until I got the Pixel! The width of the S8/9+ is much more hand-friendly.

The in-hand feel of the S8+ and S9+ are noticeably different from each other.

How about its weight? Isn't it too heavy? I have Samsung Galaxy S6, I wouldn't like anything heavier.

I was surprised to read how much heavier the S9+ is over the S8+ and will be getting the S9 - due 19th. I love my Note 8 but that's a two hand phone I use only at home

I am coming from only iPhone 6 and just placed a preorder for the Galaxy S9+. I chose the S9+ because it's still a narrow phone overall, so the larger screen seems like a necessity to enhance video watching experience.

I am, however, concerned about the size and weight of the device. Does anyone ever find that the S8+ to be too big? The S9+ is actually going to be heavier than the S8+ too.
Of course not! Says the note 8 user lol.

Let me drop end this with the iPhone 8 plus is huge physically and we the same as the iphoine 7 plus. The galaxy s9 plus is smaller then the note 8 and as someone who's going from the note 8 to the s9plus it's because the note 8 was taller but less ram for the s8plus so I thought ram would be better which it was. But the note 8 has it's problems. I love cameras on a phone and the s9 plus is a great camera. Drop Mic and think about it. Every phone upgrade is special latest specs and I've been a Samsung s line to note since the galaxy s 2 to the note 2 and thhe note 8 was pretty much the s8plus with a few a upgrades. Samsung has landed smartphone iPhone users are now

I received today the S9+, coming from a S8. I was concerned with size but it is not that big.

Being the S9+ wider it makes it actually nicer and easier to hold. I was finding the S8 too narrow.

I'm tired of big phones too, but will have to see both in person to make the final decision.
Yup, everything that seems to be new and available for purchase nowadays is huge... I'd like to see more phones coming in at 5.5" or smaller.

Samsung will reportedly release not two, but three new all-screen Galaxy S9 models – BGR

"The company may revive the “mini” line with a 5-inch Galaxy S9 mini that would feature an all-screen design like its larger counterparts. Yes, that means the phone will feature a curved Infinity display as well."

    Would have gotten it!

i wish they made a flat display s9
i skipped the s8 just because it had a curved display
but seeing samsung ditched the flat display again for the s9 i bit the bullet and got it
the phone is awesome but i think i will be extra careful with it just because the screen edges are exposed

Look, I want the Note 9 with the form factor of a Note 5.

But if we're going big I want 9 inches with a cover so I can wear Bluetooth and use phone as a calendar/note taker.

Plus version is clearly bigger and heavier so you will notice it e.g. in your trouser pocket. However this does not mean it is uncomfortable.

Actually I feel it better in my hand than my S8, and I don't have big hands.

Because the S8 was quite narrow my hand had to be too closed with one of the phone corners pressing may palm.

Now I can hold it just around it and even my thumb can move more freely. I can still type one hand, also 2 hands while the S8 is too narrow for this.

Becase the S8/S8+ were the same but size and price I got the S8. Now between the S9/S9+ I think it makes a lot of sense to go with the S9+.

The S9 is also bigger than the S8, making it the ideal size in hand IMO. S8 was indeed too narrow.
