Does the Samsung Smart Switch copy your SMS and MMS history? I've used MyBackup Pro for that in the past.

Looks like I'm on the same boat. Last year for s8 I didn't get until around that time. Mine still says out for delivery.

Use the supplied cords and connector to hook your 9 to your 8 and voila!!

Yes. All of my messages were moved from the 8 to the 9.

But the problem I had in the past before my s9 plus. I had a HTC one m9 and used the cord and all my pics on sd card became duplicate when I copied to the s8 plus via cord method and put existing sd card in the s8 plus.

If you are going from Samsung to Samsung, it will guide you through the process with the cord and connector included in the box.

Finally came in this evening, but I wasn't there to get it. Thank God a family member was! Transferring over my data from the s8 using smart switch now. So excited!

I only used Samsung Switch to transfer my media, phone history and SMS/MMS mhistory, but I was very happy with the results. I prefer to install my software from scratch. Antutu benchmark was pleasing (I can't resist benchmarking a new phone). Zagg tempered glass installation was a total disaster; I feel like I flushed $30. This is my first curved surface installation, but I've never had problems with flat screens in the past. I guess a Whitestone Dome installation attempt is in my future.

Not your fault. The Zagg ones are a mess in general. Went to the Sprint store and guy behind the counter broke the only two they had trying to put it on my 9+.

Got my blue s8plus and the wifes pink s9 yesterday. Not much different from the s8plus. Had been using the beta oreo since November. Do like the new messaging app, dual speakers (don't forget to turn on Dolby atmos), and the camera. If I was not on the sprint galaxy forever I would of kept my s8plus. Will be getting the next one next year even if they don't change much. Loved the s8plus and love the s9plus.
