I have to disagree with “far away better”. Look at the screen capture. The iPhone clearly has better DR here and doing a better job at capturing color and detail. Look at the water by the far bank as one of many examples.
Both cameras are very good. There is no “far away better” with most current flagship cameras.

Funny. I have thought that the iPhone X pictures always looked better in the comparisons. I'm still eagerly awaiting my S9+, but I do prefer the tone of the iPhone X photos. The S9+ photos are fine on their own though, so I'm fine with it. I can't wait for 2x optical zoom.

I prefer the iPhone X photos of people. Skin tone seems more natural. I also noted in that video that things weren't always focused on the same spot, and that affected the detail of the photo in different areas. Now I can't wait even more for my phone. I take a lot of scenery shots, so it will do just fine...

Most of the camera reviews I've seen seem to consistently prove that the S9+ washes out color in all sorts of scenarios. It's hopefully leaps and bounds better than the camera on my Droid Maxx from 2013 or else I'll be ticked!

Thank you today is our 23rd anniversary and he sent me flowers at work. I told the flower delivery guy someone must have died because I've only gotten flowers maybe 2 or 3 times
