My S9+ keeps detecting my Mastercard chip and asking what app to complete with

Got my S9+ today and put it in a Spigen walet case and now everytime I fold the case back the S9+ keeps detecting my Mastercard chip and asking what app to complete with.

Any ideas other than losing my chipped mastercard?

Is the card contactless (NFC)? If you don't use NFC, you could turn it off.

I doubt the EMV chip would be detected as that needs to interface with electrical contacts.
