I just received my Galaxy S9+ and noticed that the left side has the same light leak issue that the s8 and note 8 had.

    Example from a note 8:

Does anyone else with an S9 have the same issue?
Is it worth trying to return for another one?

    Thanks!

I saw the same thing on every demo model I picked up.

I have 2 units and both have it. on has it along the left edge as yours does, and the other only at the top.

I still bit the bullet and bought a Coral Blue S9+. I guess I got lucky as it has the slightest hint of light peeking through when the screen is SUPER bright. Otherwise, it's hardly noticeable.

Sorry for last post I f'd up first time here. I'm glad I'm not the only one with this issue I just noticed it! I never noticed it on my note 8 but I have light coming from the edges and the top right above the front camera. I'm really picky about crap like this but I think I'll wait for the new iPhone or the new note for a replacement.

Just saw this thread and checked my s9+. No light leakage. I turned off the lights to have darkness to make sure.

I don't see anything. The consequences of having a curved screen the display gets distorted.

Wasn't it a "feature" of curved screens?

This is not refraction. This is simply just the black boarders underneath the screen are not painted all the way to the edge.
