Point and shoot isn't going to give you the best pictures - no matter which phone or camera app you use. I'd suggest learning a little about EV and White Balance and using an app that allows you to adjust the EV and the White Balance, so that you can adjust the exposure (unfortunately, cellphone cameras aren't really the greatest at that - there's no priority setting) and the White Balance (which will allow you to get the colors closer to real).
From what I understand (I don't own an S9), the camera app takes oversaturated pictures. There are some apps that don't, a lot of them free. Go to Play and experiment with a few. (And start reading sites like
