This is a difficult one to explain. On my s6 I would be able to compose a text message and copy and paste into recipent field a list of say 20 mobile numbers (not contacts) with a comma between them. I could then compose message and recipient field would change and show the first mobile number and the words '19 others'. I could then send a text to all 20 recipients. On my so called upgraded s9 when I paste all the numbers in it states numbers are invalid. How can I send text to multiple numbers who are not contacts ? I should have stayed with the s6 I think!

You can but it'll be a little (actually a lot) more work now. Just type in a number, click the plus button, repeat with the next number.
