I don't know really if this is a feature or not, but I had been noticing that whenever I unlock my phone, that is the only time I receive email notifications. But when the phone starts to lock itself or is locked, then no email notifications happen. I am using the Outlook app, which is my desired and preferred email app to use with my Outlook email account.

Is there a setting to always check for emails even when the phone is locked?
I just wish to see email notifications like a vibrating alert sound, or from the phone's LED so I can at least know when I received missed emails.

However, I DO NOT want the email notifications show up on the lock screen, I do not need that.

SMS alerts come along easily without no issues even when the phone is locked just by looking at the blinking LED light and the vibrate sound.

Just looking for something similar for all my missed or incoming emails so I dont have to keep unlocking my phone to check.

In the meantime, i checked a setting called Lock Network and Security
Telling from the description, this might block all network related apps while the phone is locked. I dont know, can someone please confirm that this setting may be it?

    Thanks in advance!

You could check your battery optimization settings and turn it off for Outlook, I have my doubts if it will make any difference because users of Gmail are also having the same problem.

    Thanks so much.

This isn’t a major problem, but would be nice to have when I am waiting for an important email.

Go to the Settings, Notifications, and find Outlook. Select for it to not sleep and stay synced. You will also be able to select not to display on the locks careen here too.

I went to those settings and didn’t find any Sleep related settings. Can you post a print screen?

Settings -> Lock screen and security -> Notifications -> Show notifications from -> Scroll down to Outlook and disable the notifications.
