Where have my pics gone on my S9+

[Android Central Question]

Folks I've lost my pics. A folder with over 900 has just vanished and I didn't delete them. They were there two days ago. Now I can't find them except for a folder that has over 500 pics in it which has never been added to in the whole year I've had my S9+ (but new pics going there now). Just also noticed a performance clean up for battery said it cleared 7 gig which worries me. Please help if you can. Regards, Todd

Welcome to Android Central! Were these pics that you took with the camera app? If so, did you ever manually move those photos to a different directory, or did you leave them wherever the camera app saved them?

Do you know if the camera was saving photos to Internal Storage or an SD card by default?
