Why is there a face instead of the tabs icon in Edge?

On my S9, when using Microsoft Edge, down the bottom where there should be the tabs icon there is a shocked emoji face. Does anyone know why this is or how to get rid of it/change it back to tabs? It's not a huge deal but just irks me a bit.
