    I have set up ring doorbell 2 on my iphone 7, my wifes iphone, my brothers iphone and my dads s9 all with no issues and they all receive notifications when the doorbell is rung.

    However my mothers s9+ which is running the same software as my fathers (9 pie) does not give any notifications for nothing Ring doorbell related - not even motion. Called Ring and they couldn't help either.

    I have tried absolutely everything from resetting the phone settings, to deleting the app and installing again and also giving it permissions to absolutely everything.

    Please some one help!!

    Try the new app rapid ring. It is from Ring and it is supposed to help out.

    Long press the ring app tap info and scroll to notification see if everything checked there.

    No joy trying this as well everything is enabled - maybe it is just the ring app version and i will have to wait for an update?

    I'm sure you have, but just in case...
    Besides in the app itself, have you selected the Ring app to receive notifications in the phones main SETTINGS , NOTIFICATIONS , SELECT WHICH APPS YOU WANT TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATIONS FROM ? Why does my s9+ not show me Ring Doorbell 2 notifications?-20200106_180802.jpeg

    yes all notifications for ring have been switched on and still no joy - i honestly do not know what it could be

    Check in device care if that app has been put to sleep ?

    just checked and the app has not been put to sleep either - its a really annoying issue i have never had before on any other devices.

    Try something , is the device on optimize mode under battery ,put in high performance mode see if any difference?

    Other than seeing if the Ring app is being optimized, which should be turned off, not sure what else it could be. Both my Ring apps notifications are working fine on mine.

    are you using on a samsung galaxy s9+? optimisation settings are all correct and high. still no notifications are coming through. hmm
