Galaxy S9 can't cast mp3 audio play to Google Home Mini

I emailed myself a an mp3 audio play that I had downloaded to my pc. I wanted to cast it from my Galaxy S9 to my Bedroom google Home Mini speaker. But no matter what I do it just plays through the phone.

in general, unless things changed,gh will not play your personal music on its own. the best you can do is to connect the phone to the speaker via bluetooth. but you can subscribe to google play music and upload the file to it. I think you can also setup a plex server and play from it.
