9.5GB Miscellaneous Storage

Hi all,


I'm new here so forgive me if this has been covered. I have flashed several different ROMs on my SGS3 since I got it a year ago have since started to notice that the internal storage 'misc' category is forever growing. It is currently account for about 90% (9.5gb) in the phone storage which is now maxed out when you + apps etc.

I've googled about and as far as I can read, it looks as though each flash is leaving data in "limbo". Can anyone confirm this, or point in the right direction?

I've see some post of people just formatting the internal storage in CMW but I want to know, if I do that, will it delete CMW and indeed my backups?
