New to rooting, need help to root and install cynagon mod

I want to root and install cynagon mod to make my phone stock android 4.2 and I'm a complete ***** and scared cat when it comes to the android rooting as this would be my first time rooting and in scared of bricking the phone. Thanks

Do a full backup using Samsung Kies -- you can also get an app called Titanium Backup that you can backup right to your SD card

Maybe too late, but don't forget to do a nandroid backup before any install. This way you can go back to what you had before. Always Backup, Backup and Backup and Wipe, Wipe and Wipe.
