Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 - Missing Auto-rotate Option

Immediately after the OTA update of my 2012 Nexus 7 to Kit Kat at about 2 am on 26/11/2013 (GMT), auto-rotate disappeared from Settings. The tablet displays in portrait mode, but not in landscape. I now know that many others are having the same problem. Is there any official Google update to rectify this problem? If there is no Google update, what should I do to solve this problem?
