Hello Android Central users,

I've had 4.1.2 on my galaxy S3, everything was working perfectly. I've flashed 4.3 via Odin, so now I have no service available - Not registered on network (Emergency calls only). I downloaded 4.1.2 on my computer (MD5 file), so now I have 4.3 and 4.1.2 files (MD5) downloaded on my computer, for my region 'Cellcom' in Israel. So I want to downgrade because it says 'not registered on network' will it work if I flash the 4.1.2? What if an error occurs? Is it safe to downgrade as in flashing 4.1.2 over 4.3? Do I need a specific file to downgrade? If so, please tell me how to do it. Give me instructions, I'll appreciate it. I've tried clearing cache hoping that I restore the 4.1.2 but it didn't.

How can I update with Kies? I have the latest firmware - 4.3..

-EDIT-: I forgot to mention that I did a factory reset, wiped data and cache. Still haven't got 4.1.2, stuck with 4.3.

This might be a bug on firmware

Go to Firmwares | SamMobile
And search a latest firmware for.your phone. Then Reflash that firmware . remember never downgrade.

Press THANK YOU and LIKE button if you gets the answer

What I am trying to do is, restoring the 4.1.2 because I have no signal - not registered on network. I checked the latest 4.3 firmware on SamMobile, it has the same modem so I think no changes will be made if I am not wrong.

Check your imei number.
you must backup the efs folder, or it will damage imei number. Try Reflashing the 4.3 firmware again. reflashing will not take time. So
Try it again..

07 means software version number it is called Sv number

reflash the 4.3 firmware again then go to the recovery and clear cache and data
you must backup the efs folder, if you decide to downgrade

1, remove battery from the phone and DO NOT PUT BACK IN for the remainder of these instructions
2, underneath the battery on the phone is the imei# and serial#
3, you need the serial# and leave the battery out for this task
4, now start Kies that is on your P.C and make sure you have a internet connection
5, from the menu bar go to Tools and select firmware upgrade and initialization
6, enter the model GT-I9300 (make sure its CAPITALS GT-I)
7, enter serial# (CAPITALS again)
8, press OK to initalize (dont worry you should not have a battery in )
9, this will now give you the string = Initialised version PDA:*** / PHONE:*** / CSC:*** (***) this is what we want to see
start update
