I had the exact same problem. Just use a smaller USB link, i.e., the link connecting the Tablet with the PC or Laptop (buy a smaller link than the one that comes with the Tablet), and it will work properly.

I have a powered USB hub that supplies 2 amps to all 7 ports (with a full 70-watt power bus), and it won't charge from it (or at least it says it doesn't). It's not about the power.

it charges but the Battery level doesn't change, unless you disconnect the battery . i have a Samsung phone and tab 3 , when connected to a pc usb port even if you don't turn it off , it keep charging, but the percentage doesn't synchronize , just turn it off then take off the Battery , put it back , switch the phone on , you'll get the real charging value , not practical for a tab , better use the one you plug to the wall

skill thank you!! i want to flash my boys tab3 tablets and in the process i was wondering if my USB ports were bad or not seeing the red x on the battery... thankfully there not as it's a Samsung tablet issue. I've only sat at my PC for 5 minutes up to this point, found your video and followed it. since writing a reply my battery has gone up 2% thank you!!

your galaxy tab s2 is, in fact, charging.
it is a trickle charge, so the tab reports "no charge".
try it. as long as your power usage is not too intensive, the trickle charge still charges the battery.
    good luck!

Okay so the answer is very simple your laptop does not recognize the tablet most likely so turn off your tablet and connect it again with my laptop i did this just now since i was looking for a forum with an answer but found none and it worked cheers and God bless.
