Why is my android faiiling to update?

when i try to update it answers me fail to update firmware there is a severe or network problem try using kies please help there alot of apps which are not supported by my device it has android 3.2 and its tab 10.1

Welcome to Android Central! How are you trying to update the system? From the Settings>About Tablet>System Update​ menu? Or using Samsung Kies?
