To those who have recieved your Galaxy Tabs, have you noticed an 'unlocked' icon on your Tab's boot screen? (It will be immediately recognizable to those who have owned a Nexus One or S.) Apparently, a few people at XDA have: "Unlocked" icon on boot screen? - xda-developers

Hopefully this means good things for the Tab 10.1's bootloader! :)

And finally, a picture of what it looks like:

PS: 'have and'? Wow, I fail.

I'm pretty sure it's unlocked. Generally Samsung doesn't lock down their devices, plus it seems the first wave of Honeycomb devices seem unlockable - even the Motorola Xoom.

On a different note, I had a brown, locked symbol on my 16 GB. Bought at Fry's by the way.

Drat.

Could you get a picture to verify that?

Now when I start up, I'm getting the same unlocked one that y'all got. But, on first start-up I got a locked one. I wish I had thpught to take a picture of it now.
