Experience with the tab.

Just got a tab 2 10.1 a lite disappointed thus far as it is not as snappy as my friends ipad. I haven't done the software update I'm contemplating returning it any ideas? I have the gs3 and love it but this is sub par thus far.

Nobody has any thoughts? This thing just isn't has crisp or polished as the iPad....or am I missing something?

Tab 2 only has twin core, hence why its a tad slow. It's essentially an entry level tablet. Look to the Note 10.1 for quad core power and speed, much like the SGS3.

Had Tab2 10.1 since June.
No speed problem at all.
Switching from many years Windows and Blackberry.
Quite impressed with performance.
Never need to reboot.
Never install errors with Apps.

If your not satisfied with the speed you have now, them rooting and some jellybean aokp is in order.

While my tab was in stock mode, about 3hrs, I noticed an improvement with ics. After rooting and debloating and Apex launcher it got and felt even better.

Now with aokp jb its fast and responsive, and looks great with the jb eye candy thats included in this Rom.
Apex launcher is a big plus over stock launcher, just upgrading to Apex may give you a better feel of speed and smoother
Transitions.

I am very happy with mine (Tab 2 7). Went through two Nexus 7's and so I am happy it is working at all. I didn't expect too much for the price I paid. I use mine at work and it is more than capable in doing what I need.
