how to remove Google Reader as the RSS default

Im having problems downloading rss feeds from Freedly. It is redirecting right to Google Reader. Which of course is telling me download another. I've turned it off but still can not change the default. Can someone please explain.

Settings ;Application manager then navigate to the Google reader and clear defaults. Remember, this will clear all defaults for Google reader. A beter option may be to download a rss reader and on first useset that to the default rss reader.
