How do I filter off emails [gmail] that I no longer want to see on my phone [Samsung Galaxy S5] but I am OK with them on the main gmail repository?

I think I previously provided a solution for this. What you can do is create a folder and name it from your desktop, then create a rule for certain e-mails that you do not like to be moved to the folder you created. When e-mails are sent with a certain subject or contain a certain information according to your rule, they will be moved into that specific folder. The folder will be view able from your device, but only contain the e-mails you have ruled out. Sometimes though, emails delivered into you inbox might not be filtered into folders like you want because of the phone model. You could also install gmail in your computer, create rule for filtering and then try and use it in your phone. If your device supports outlook, then it will be very easy to do this as opposed to using e-mail directly.
