It says 8 gb on the box, but actually it's only about 4 gb. less now that i installed some apps and Asphalt. The only game that had the option to install to sd card was the Bard's tale. Other than rooting the tablet (which i don't want to do because i just bought it and don't want to void the warranty), is there any solution to this?I have 900mb left after installing basic staple apps like Evernote and whatnot. Asphalt takes up 1.1gb. GTA takes up 1.4gb. Anyone already dealt with this? Apps2sd doesn't work to get apps from the internal sd to the external one. Anyone have any fixes for this?

Or failing that, anyone know of any games that install to the external sd like the bards tale which has about 3.5 gbs of data added on to the external sd.

    Help, please and thanks.

Unfortunately Google removed this feature with Jellybean but Samsung has added it back on some apps. I don't know about the 7 in model but the 8 inch has the ability to move to SD card on many of my apps. Just go to Apps in settings and select an app and see if you see the move to SD card option.

Unless Samsung updates the device with this feature then no, you can't. They updated the S4 to allow certain apps to be moved onto the sd card. However, it was done by update and must be done by update with the Tab 3 unless you root.

I just received my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 a few days ago (present from my wonderful husband). I was also wondering when or if they will included this in their next update. When I opened my tablet it updated something but I'm still running 4.1.2. I heard that 4.3 will let you put some apps onto the sd card. I don't understand their thinking, the more that we can put on a sd card the more apps we as consumers would be willing to download. I choose the tablet because it said you could put up to 64 gb card and thought what all apps I could get. But to my dismay it only will let you put multimedia files onto it. Does anyone no when the next update will be. Since this just came out this year and should have included the latest android firmware.

The Sprint version comes with 4.2.2 and it allows you to move apps from device storage to SD card. The Sprint Tab3 is also step up processor @1.7 Ghz and 16Gb.

The only way these Tab 3's (the ones that came with 4.1.2 as the OS) will get updated is if we complain the heck out of Samsung. They're well aware of the issue, and their snooty tech support staff will act as if YOUR the one with an issue because the tablet won't save anything on the external SD. If you bug them enough, they'll tell you "Samsung doesn't offer external SD support on the galaxy tablets" (which is COMPLETELY UNTRUE- they support it for the 8 and 10.1 inch models, and even of the data plan editions of the 7.0 model). If pressed, they'll inform you that the issue will be resolved when they offer a 4.2.2 update.

The kicker is that they have NO IDEA when that update is going to get released. Rumor had it Samsung was going to release this update when the LITE version was released, but the LITE version's in stores now and it's still been the sound of silence. My recommendation is that everyone call up Samsung and read them the riot act. There's no excuse for them not to have released the update by now.

I believe a couple PSP ports from Hyperdevbox put all their data on the SD card.

EPSATO we shall see what comes from the Lite release...when I last checked it did in fact benchmark *even lower* than the SM-T210/T211. I will see if it's even confirmed that the Lite does app2sd, or perhaps the PXA986 is too inferior to work correctly with Samsung's hack. But in future *DO some research before making a purchase you regret.* This is the most basic of basics.
