Yesterday a firmware update was automatically downloaded and installed on my Samsung Tab3 10.1

Where can I read what changes it contains ?

I see you are relatively new. Welcome to the forums!
I tried looking for a changelog, and couldn't find one. What version of Android are you on? Settings>About Device>scroll all the way down.

Then my guess is the update was some bug fixes or prepping for 4.3.

Does that mean they keep it a secret what they change ?

While the update was downloading, I think there was a mention of app updates and performance enhancements. My Tab 3 8 seems a little faster since the update, but it could just be my imagination.

    Definitely a new build.

My Tab 3 8.0 was updated yesterday. One thing I noticed, and I
am pretty sure ot wasn't there before is that now
settings-> Application Manager has On SD Card added to app types
along with the current Downloaded, Running, and All.

Yes I noticed that too.....now much easier to see what has been moved to your SD card.

So the Android updates are secret and no one bothers to tell us the basic changes it incorporates ?
