New Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 No backlight on keys

I just purchased a new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 and noticed that the two touch keys (back button) do not light up....is this normal?

no the keys do not light up on the 7 inch version I know they light up on the 8 inch version and I would bet the 10 inch version also.

I was wondering the same thing, so I spoke to samsung about it. They said it's because the 7 inch runs different firmware (4.1.2). They said it may be included in the next update. Lets hope.

This doesn't sound like a software issue. It should be enabled by default, otherwise it's a software issue on Samsungs end.

For what I read in other thread those soft keys do not work at all. So maybe it's hardware, not software. That sucks! :banghead:

Well finally I pulled the trigger on the Tab 3!

I went to a Sprint store last night and got it. Actually, they didn't have any in store so they ordered it, I'll probably have it by the weekend! :thumbup:

I believe it just do not work I have a Galaxy S3 firmware 4.1.2 home and back keys light...on the Galaxy S4 back and home keys light up so why a newer product don't have it??
